Safdarjung Hospital's burns department readies for Diwali influx

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) As Delhi prepares for the Diwali festivities, the Burns Department at Safdarjung Hospital has announced it is fully geared to handle any emergencies during the festival period.
The hospital has implemented a comprehensive plan to manage a potential surge in burn-related cases.
The department has mobilized extra manpower, including additional doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.
Logistics have been strengthened with arrangements for extra dressing materials, drugs, and vital equipment.
To ensure swift patient movement, the hospital has also arranged for additional ambulances and trolleys.
Key operational measures include keeping operating theatre services functional round the clock and managing extra space to accommodate a large number of patients.
Specifically, the department has reserved 20 regular beds for Diwali-related cases and set up 10 extra beds in the burns casualty area.
For holistic patient care, the hospital is mobilizing support from other specialties such as Orthopedics, Anesthesia, and Ophthalmology to provide integrated treatment under one roof.
The hospital reminds the public to exercise caution while celebrating the festival of lights.
